Dr. Pol (Full name: Jan-Harm Pol) is a Dutch-American veterinarian. He is known for his starring role on the reality television show The Incredible Dr. Pol on Nat Geo Wild. With more than 20,000 patients, he has seen it all. Specializing in large farm animals, he is a pioneer in treating animals and treats horses, pigs, cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens, and even the occasional reindeer.

In 1981 he founded Pol Veterinary Services with his wife, Diane. With a practical approach to veterinary medicine, he grew his practice from a humble start to one with over 25,000 clients.

His style has received a mixed reception from veterinarians, and in 2014, he was fined $500 and had his license put on probation by the Michigan Board of Veterinary Medicine for not wearing proper surgical attire during the treatment of a Boston terrier. However, a year later, the sentencing was overturned by the Michigan Court of Appeals.
