South Korean actor Gong Yoo made quite an impression in the Korean film industry with his stints on hit movies such as Silenced and Kim Ji Young, born 1982. 

The success of his other projects like Goblin and Coffee Prince added to his reputation and helped him accumulate a plethora of followers. 

But despite success on his professional front, his personal life doesn't seem to progress much as he is still single, self-admittedly.

'I Am Still Very Young,' Says Yoo

Yoo is 41 years old and still relishing his singlehood. Out of all the people, he knows he is at the age to be married, have kids, and settle with a family.

While talking to Inquisitr in December 2016, he confessed that his friends his age were already fathers and mothers to kids. 

He mentioned he addressed such married friends as "Hyungs" [Big brother] despite being of the same age.

Then affirming his dreams of having a wife and children, Yoo confessed he was mentally very young to handle the difficulty of getting married, having children, and creating a family. 

In fact, my friends are parents of elementary students, but despite my age, I am still very young [mentally]. Just by what I see from others around me, I can tell that getting married, creating a family, and having kids is extremely difficult.

During the MBC Docuflex's Coffee Prince special Youth Documentary in 2020, Yoo was asked about his thoughts on marriage and why he was not married.

He clarified he didn't plan to never get married but felt like he had missed his timing. 

He Once Had a Girlfriend

It's not that the actor has never been in a relationship; he was once dating a woman. The Train To Busan star confirmed having a girlfriend when he appeared on SBS's talk show Because I want to Talk in 2019.

He revealed that he once drunk texted his ex-girlfriend and received no reply. He texted her again the following day, explaining that he was drunk.

The actor admitted he was glad not to have received any reply, as it prevented their relationship from getting any more awkward. 

His Dating Rumors 

Despite his straightforwardness, Yoo is not spared from rumors. For example, he was rumored to be dating his co-star Kim Go Eun.

The on-screen couple from the TV Series Goblin were caught up in rumors about dating. However, both of their agencies dismissed the rumor by addressing it as fake.

The rumor started after Eun broke up with her then-boyfriend Shin Ha-kyun. Eun's agency confirmed that her breakup had nothing to do with Yoo.
