Fresh off sending a conference record 12 teams to college football bowl season, the Sun Belt Conference has finalized its plans for the 2024 campaign. The 2024 Sun Belt schedule is now complete with the announcement of cross-divisional opponents for all 14 teams.

2024 Sun Belt Schedule Announced

The 2024 Sun Belt schedule is complete with Thursday’s announcement of the two cross-divisional opponents for each of the 14 conference teams. The full dates for the conference schedule are expected to be announced no later than March 1, 2024.

Each team in the Sun Belt Conference plays all six teams in its division, three at home and three away. The 2024 Sun Belt schedule is completed by one home and one road clash with a team from the opposite division.

The release of the cross-divisional games on the 2024 Sun Belt schedule adds further intrigue to the blossoming Group of Five conference. The reigning champion Troy Trojans will face perennial contender Coastal Carolina Chanticleers at home as they look to repeat as champions for the third successive season.

Meanwhile, the James Madison Dukes will face Southern Miss and Louisiana-Monroe for the first time as they enter the 2024 Sun Belt schedule with the eligibility to fight for a conference crown in their third season removed from their FCS transition.
