David Chang is a preeminent American television personality, podcaster, author, and restaurateur. In 2011, he co-founded Lucky Peach, the influential food magazine which lasted for 25 quarterly volumes into 2017. David is the founder of the Momofuku restaurant group.

It was awarded two Michelin stars back in 2009 which it has retained each year since. He created, produced, and starred in Ugly Delicious, a Netflix original series. David then announced in May 2017 the opening of a new restaurant at the Hudson Yards development in New York. Má Pêche closed in June 2018 after operating for eight years. He opened the 250-seat Majordomo Meat & Fish restaurant on December 30, 2019, in The Palazzo Tower of The Venetian Las Vegas.

Momofuku restaurant group made the decision to temporarily close its restaurants in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They decided to consolidate some restaurants later that year. Momofuku CCDC in Washington, D.C., and Momofuku Nishi in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood were permanently closed. Momofuku Seiōbo in Sydney was also closed in 2021 by the group.
