Shark Tank entrepreneur Daymond John lost his first wife, his relationship with his first two daughters after being blinded by the success of his billion-worth brand, FUBU.  As he gained money, his family slipped away from him.

Though late, he changed his lifestyle and led a happy married life with his second wife and third daughter.

Ignorance Led To Divorce With First Wife

John was once married to a woman with whom he has two daughters: Yasmeen and Destiny. Their relationship survived before the success of his company, FUBU.

But as he started gaining success, he started losing touch with reality. Mostly away from his home, he became an absentee dad and a husband. He would be away for business six months of the year and party with his friends for the other six. He rarely saw his wife and kids, and the situation worsened.

He even confessed at Forefront that his wife saw him more on TV than in person. While he would appear in commercials and parties, things became harder for his wife. 

She faced disrespect from her neighbors and was ridiculed for being rich and out of touch with the neighbors despite being injured. 

The final nail on the coffin for his marriage was a disconnection with his little girls. His wife couldn't stand the difference and ended their marriage. 

Improved Himself For his Daughters

Although his ex wife ended their relationship, she gave John a chance to prove his dedication to his daughters. She made an unnegotiable deal with him: if he started giving back to the community, he wouldn’t completely lose his daughters.

He started his "improvement" by teaching people the knowledge he had regarding the business world. Since the early 2010s, he has been involved with numerous organizations and initiatives that focus on the betterment of the community.

After making himself a part of the community again, his wife respected the agreement that they had had. Today, he is on good terms with his two daughters and frequently posts about them.

John’s Current Marriage

After John understood the value of money compared to money, his life welled. He met his current wife, Heather Taras.

They welcomed their first and John’s third daughter, Minka Jagger John, on March 2, 2016. Around six months after their daughter’s birth, Daymond proposed to Heather on September 22, 2016, while taping Shark Tank's episode.

They tied the wedding knots on June 2, 2018, in Santorini, Greece. The pictures of them having fun on different occasions can be seen on both the husband and wife's Instagram.
