He is a former star basketball player. White reportedly got offers from the top universities. But he enrolled in the Univesity of Maryland and played for them. “H” played as a point guard for the University from 1970 to 1973.
The former point guard is widely recognized as “H.” He used to wear a jersey with just an “H” instead of his full name.
During his time with Maryland, his team won the NIT and appeared in NCAA eight times.

The Washinton Bullets drafted White in the 1973 NBA Draft. However, his knee injury forced him to end his playing career.
Afterward, the VP of Jordan Brand worked as an assistant coach for Maryland. In 1978, White joined Nike and served as a field representative.
In 1984, the former NBA player became crucial in the legendary basketballer Michael Jordan’s deal with Nike.
By 1994, the Hampton native began coordinating Nike’s NBA projects.
He established himself as the company’s primary point of contact with NBA and NFL players and assisted in securing partnerships with more skilled players.
Before being promoted to vice president of Jordan Brand, White worked as director of athlete relations for Nike.
