Freeman, 50, has given love another shot with a French actress, 30, decades younger than him.

The pair is yet to get engaged or married. In April 2022, pictures of Mariam visiting her hometown of Toulouse with Freeman sparked engagement rumors, but there’s been no confirmation yet.

The two have been dating for over two years. The loved-up pair shared many pictures and were spotted on romantic strolls together.

In October 2021, the couple made their red-carpet debut at Raindance Film Festival at the Dorchester Hotel in London.

Freeman also made a rare public appearance with his girlfriend, Mariam, at the BAFTA on May 8, 2022.

Mariam is a French actress and writer from Toulouse. She moved to Dublin to study theatre and filmmaking at the Gaiety School of Acting.

He is the son of Geoffrey and Philomena (née Norris) Freeman. His parents separated when he was a child.

His father, a naval officer, died of a heart attack when Freeman was only ten.

Martin Freeman came from a big family as the youngest of five children: Tim, Laura, Benedict, and Jamie Freeman. 

One of his older brothers, Tim, became a singer with the English pop group Frazier Chorus.

Jamie, a singer-songwriter, unfortunately died of brain cancer in December 2022.
